MOXIETEC™ FOAM INJECTION MOLDING TECHNOLOGIES

MOXIETEC™ FOAM INJECTION MOLDING TECHNOLOGIES

Moxietec has developed a range of injection molding processes that control the cellular structure of molded parts formed from foamed thermoplastics. These controlled cellular structures significantly reduce weight while improving the desired physical and mechanical properties.

MOXIETEC™ FOAM INJECTION MOLDING TECHNOLOGIES

Key features of the controlled cellular structures include: consistent cellular structure throughout the entire molded part; uniform cell size, shape, and density; and significantly minimized coalescence of cells to prevent the formation of large voids. Moxietec’s foam injection molding technologies are compatible with variety of thermoplastics, including commodity grades (PP, PE, PS, HIPS, PVC), engineering grades (Nylons, PC, ABS, PET), specialty grades (TPE, TPV, TPU, PEBA).

Moxietec has an extensive patent portfolio covering its foam injection molding technologies, including six issued U.S. patents and three pending U.S. patent applications, a pending PCT application, and over 40 foreign patents and pending patent applications.
